
This 3-hour, self-paced training provides a foundational understanding of trauma and how to apply trauma-informed principles in therapeutic, educational, and organizational settings. Designed for mental health professionals, educators, healthcare providers, and caregivers, the course explores the neurobiology of trauma, common trauma responses, and evidence-based approaches to trauma therapy.
Participants will gain insight into the six core principles of trauma-informed care as outlined by SAMHSA, as well as an overview of key therapeutic modalities including EMDR, CBT, TF-CBT, and somatic approaches. Through interactive exercises, reflection activities, and real-world case examples, learners will build practical skills to create safer, more compassionate, and empowering environments for trauma survivors.
By the end of this training, participants will be equipped to recognize the effects of trauma, respond with empathy and strategy, and integrate trauma-informed practices into their professional roles.
